Title 24 experts

Title 24 compliance, handled

Title 24 is California's building energy efficiency code. HVAC is a big part of it, and getting it right the first time keeps your build on schedule.

Designed to code from the start

We plan equipment, ductwork and controls to meet California's Title 24 energy code, so there are no surprises at inspection.

Proper load calculations

Heating and cooling loads calculated for the actual home, so systems are sized right and meet efficiency requirements.

Sealed, tested ductwork

Ducts installed and sealed to pass duct leakage testing, with the right insulation for attics and other unconditioned spaces.

HERS verification ready

Refrigerant charge, airflow and fan efficiency set up correctly, and we coordinate with your HERS rater for the required testing.

Efficient equipment & controls

High-efficiency furnaces, heat pumps, AC and smart thermostats that fit the energy design for your project.

Paperwork to final

We help with the HVAC documentation your project needs so you can get through inspection and final sign-off.

New construction

What we handle on a new build

Planning HVAC during construction costs less and works better than fitting it in after the walls are closed.

Load calculations & system design

Equipment sized to the home or building's square footage, layout, insulation and sun exposure, so it's comfortable from day one.

Ductwork & rough-in

Supply and return duct runs, boots, plenums and line sets installed during framing, before drywall goes up.

Furnaces & heat pumps

Gas furnace, heat pump and air handler installs matched to the design and your budget.

Central AC & mini splits

Split systems for the whole house, or ductless mini splits for additions, ADUs and bonus rooms.

Commercial rooftop units

Rooftop package units and split systems for new commercial and light-commercial buildings.

Trim-out, start-up & walkthrough

Final connections, thermostats, testing and a walkthrough so the owner knows how everything works.

FAQ

New construction FAQ

When should I bring in an HVAC contractor on a new build?

As early as possible, ideally while plans are being finalized. That way duct runs, equipment locations and electrical needs are planned before framing is done.

Do you handle Title 24 requirements?

Yes. We design and install systems to meet California's Title 24 energy code, including duct sealing and leakage testing, and we coordinate with your HERS rater for verification.

Do you work with general contractors and builders?

Yes. We work with builders, general contractors and owner-builders, and coordinate our rough-in and trim-out around the rest of the schedule.

Can you give an estimate from plans?

Yes. Send us your plans and we'll provide a free estimate for the heating and cooling system.

Do you do additions and ADUs?

Yes. We can extend an existing system when it has the capacity, or install a separate system or ductless mini split for the new space.
